London, England, at the birth of the Edwardian Age, was a place of burgeoning fashion, markets and peace in the mighty British Empire, upon which, it is said, the sun never set. Caught in the wake of the successes of the Victorian Era, in which Great Britain had amassed its wealth of overseas territories, the British nation now enjoys the boons of its colonies and a golden age at home. Chalk full of historic landmarks from Big Ben to Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge to the Tower of London and shops, restaurants, pubs and entertainment venues galore, the English capital leads the world as the heart of the largest empire ever established on Earth. Little do the English know that their precious island is under attack, however... and that the cliffs at Dover are no longer a pearly white, but painted black as midnight.
